Christopher Crompton is a critically acclaimed singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist. When he is not touring internationally as a solo artist or regaling the nation's folk clubs as part of folk duo, Mountain Hares, he returns to his first musical love of electric guitar, playing lead in Mojo Train. His wide array of musical influences, from blues and jazz to folk and rock, colour his tasteful playing.

Dave Carter - Drums / Backing Vocals

Dave’s first drum kit was the sofa, with cushions laid out appropriately and his sister’s knitting needles as drum sticks. At the tender age of about 8, he’d be in his element playing away to the tunes on “Top Of The Pops” and on the record player. Drumming was in his blood at an early age. He's been playing a "proper" drum kit in various bands since his late teens (a looooong time ago) and he's still at it with these guys more than 40 years later.

A casual guitarist for almost as long, he enjoys bashing out a few tunes too and has succumbed to the dreaded guitar collectors bug. He currently has 11 electric and 6 acoustic guitars (and 2 ukuleles).

Dave took early retirement from being an I.T. Manager and now focuses his time between Mojo Train and his various other music projects which includes playing guitar/vocals with the trio Blueriver Rising, hosting a local Folk Club and music production/engineering in his home recording studio with two recent albums under his belt.

Mark Arnott - Job - Bass Guitar, Backing Vocals

Mark began his musical journey with a half-sized violin when he was just six years old. When he was ten, he picked up his older brother's jumbo acoustic guitar and the real journey started. He played bass guitar in his first ever band shortly after that and made his performance debut at a police social club when he was sixteen.

Since then, he's played in a variety of musical formats including a duo which got him gaining live performance experience in, pretty much, every working man's social club in the West Midlands during the 90s. He says he's currently "living the dream" now playing the material he loves along with exceptionally talented musicians.

Mark is the owner and Managing Director of the Two Towers Brewery where the band rehearse. He's also Manager of the Gunmakers Arms next to it and has developed the pub into a successful live music venue. It's safe to say he knows a thing or two about what it takes to pull off a great live performance.
